Congratulations to WVOK ranking number 38 of Top 40 Radio Stations of all time. Stations were compiled by Oldies Pop Music Examiner. At least we were in there with Oklahoma City,

This
site is devoted to the greatest radio station in Birmingham, Alabama. The Mighty 690 **WVOK** was
located on the Bessemer Super Highway and is no longer on the air. The
building has since been torn down. Transmitting at 50,000 watts of power.
The DJs --- Dan Brennan, the late
Joe Rumore, Johnny Davis, the late Hal Hodgens, Johnnie Hayes, Alan Burns, the late Jim Allen and Don Keith kept
the station rocking.
