Aside from being a DJ on WVOK, Mr. Joe Rumore also owned Rumore's Record Rack in downtown Birmingham at 1802 2nd Avenue, North (where this photo was taken).  In 1970, Mr. Rumore moved Rumore's Record Rack to Homewood.  It closed in 1979.  CeCe and Marie were the lovely ladies that managed the Record Rack.  I remember the mail order specials he would run on Saturday's when you would buy 1 record and get 2 or 3 free.   I got to know CeCe and Marie very well.   If anyone has a photo of Rumore's Record Rack in Homewood and would like to share, just send an email to wvokmemories@hughes.net and I will post it.
